Pink Dice

The sleek and stylish Pink Dice Somaya sneaker
“Sugar, spice and everything nice” aren’t all that define a typical girl — she’s got to have Pink Dice on her feet as well. With a variety of sneaker designs in luscious colors, Pink Dice proves that sneakers don’t just have to be plain and rugged, but can be glammed up for the quintessential fashionista as well.
Pink Dice is a brand owned by Geoffrey Allen Corporation, an urban clothing company based in New Jersey. Making its debut just this 2009, this young and fresh footwear brand caters to fun, fabulous and fashionable females aged 14-30, who love to have fun and express themselves, and who want their clothing apparel to match their bright and vibrant personalities as well. The brand is out to show that having fun is something that is not only limited to young girls, but can be embodied by young women and the young at heart. Pink Dice aims to add a splash of color into the wardrobe of their consumers by offering gorgeous pairs of sneakers that come in juicy color combination and palettes, bringing the rainbow from the sky to your feet. This high end yet reasonably-priced line makes use of high-quality fabrics and materials such as leather and mesh to create the most fashion-forward styles that ensure the utmost comfort and durability for the wearer.
Pink Dice shoes were launched in several outlets of athletic retailer Finish Line, adding a colorful selection to the stores’ shoe walls. The unveiling of the brand was done during the Back-to-School season, the perfect opportunity to provide a variety of options for girls who want to add funk to their everyday school look, or who just want to wear something cute and fashionable for gym class. As part of its launch campaign, Pink Dice teamed up with Latina recording artist Somaya Reece – who aside from being a performer is an entrepreneur and designer as well – and came up with the Somaya sneaker; a sleek black pair with gold trimmings, perfect for upping the glam factor and adding a touch of sophistication to what might otherwise be a plain jeans and sneakers outfit.
Currently, Pink Dice offers sneakers for ladies and girls in styles such as the Patent Fade, a mid-cut patent sneaker style with the Pink Dice logo appliquéd on the side, and small hearts and diamonds perforations all over the shoe. The Patent Fade comes in a variety of color combos such as washes of purple, pink, orange and yellow, as well as a solid black base with the word Pink written on the side in pink. In the future, Pink Dice plans to expand its product lines and carry other shoe styles such as sandals, flip flops and boots, as well as apparel including active wear and sportswear.

A Teen Vogue fashion spread featuring the Pink Dice Patent Fade sneakers
Pink Dice’s marketing efforts include working with publications such as Teen Vogue, Star and Footwear News to promote their sneaker line. They have also done promotions within external events, such as Star’s and Pink Dice’s Young Hollywood Party with the hottest Hollywood celebrities in attendance. Pink Dice also aims to go beyond being merely a footwear brand and seeks to boost the self-esteem of girls through the ”I Love Pink Dice, I Love Me” campaign. This campaign is the brand’s commitment to use real girls in their advertisements instead of waif-thin models. They do this to promote awareness of a healthy self-image through workshops and other special events. With such a commitment to improve the morale of young women who might be blindsided by the media’s perception of beauty and the pressures to achieve this skewed version of beauty, Pink Dice is sure to win over followers who don’t just want to add a pair of sneakers to their shoe collection, but who want to imbibe the Pink Dice lifestyle. A lifestyle of girls who are fun, vibrant, hip, and with a positive view of the world and of themselves.
