In 2006, brand manager Marlon Reichel decided to put up his own company: Sneak Tip. This full-fledged sneaker and apparel company, based in Coney Island, is all about putting out merchandise and products to the underground sneaker culture.

The name “Sneak Tip” refers Sneakersheads, who are always the first ones to find out the newest tips of new released sneakers. Sneakerheads are those who are known to collect sneakers as a hobby, often spending large amounts of money and time to buy the perfect shoe. As newly released shoes are unveiled, people have devoted their time and money on having a wide array of quality footwear.

Sneak Tip is inspired by New York’s opulent, urban lifestyle by fusing its history, icons, art and music, to come up with a sneaker-driven t-shirt brand with a unique twist to cater to the fashion forward consumers. In fact, Raichel’s innovation and foresight has landed him on the pages of Entrepreneur magazine’s “Hot tips from E-bay Millionaires” issue.

In May 2008, Sneak Tip unveiled its spring 2008 Quick Strike collection, which is sold in select retailers throughout the United States. It features the “Dr. Doom” tee in black and white, “23 is Crack” in shirt and the bestselling “I got 99 problems” shirt.

The brand found itself venturing in another field by December 2008 when they released of Sneak Tip Skins. These skins, which are used to customize the outward design of certain electronics, are available for laptops, cell phones; portable hand held systems, and Mp3 players. Among its bestselling skins are the “I got 99 problems” and “Crackle Skin” design. Currently they are available at www.music-skins.com.

2009 started out as an excellent year as well. In May the Sneak Tip and Strictly Fitteds plans to launch the spring 2009 Fitted Collection. The line is said to feature a number of fitted caps, including the MTA fitted, Crackle fitted, and All Star fitted.
