Super is the premium brand of sunglasses that started the phenomenon of acetate. They were created by Retrosuperfuture in Spring of 2007 and serves as a quality product for a reasonable price. Soon after, they became a part of a trend with their multiple color graduations. Super was the first brand that decided to make a complete range of high quality, colorful, and fashionable sunglasses through the use of careful manufacturing processes. Super sunglasses are hand made by the best manufacturers in Italy and uses the best materials. One of these materials are the Zeiss lenses that they use. The Zeiss lens were created by Carl Zeiss in 1993 and provide a very high level of eye protection.

Super is currently distributed worldwide in over 350 shops. They can be found at some of the most trendy and influential stores. These stores would include Barneys New York, Bodega in Boston, Steven Alan, Colette in Paris, Fred Segal in Los Angeles, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Paris Texas in Denmark, Caliroots in Sweden, and many other places as well. Super was created by two men named Daniel and Simon Beckerman who also happen to be the publishers of a magazine called PIG. This magazine could be considered the most prestigious publication on the subject of independent music and fashion. They also worked together in order to start PIG Radio, a very influential internet indie music web-radio. Super was created with a desire to be and offer something different from what the standard established brands had created. Daniel and Simon Beckerman wanted to have fun with eye wear. They wanted glasses that they and their friends could wear and enjoy. Celebrities seem to appreciate their approach. Jessica Alba, Lil Wayne, Daft Punk, Christina Aguilera, Santigold, and Valentino Rossi are just a few of the celebrity names that have been associate with Super sunglasses.
