The JMoney Collection

So you’ve been working hard to earn some money, well, The JMoney Collection is a brand tailored for you. Jamie Story designed his own products of the Brooklyn based The JMoney Collection launched in 2004.

Before his collection, Jamie was a typical skater. During one of his stunts, he broke his foot. Unlike other people who easily give up, the incident was more  a blessing in disguise for Jamie. He actually has been involved in different ventures. Together with  his pals, they set up Vehicle Skateboards, a company dedicated to producing skateboards. He was in-charge of the designs and logos.

The JMoney Collection’s outstanding feature is that of the dollar sign. Jamie says “people are so focused on money  and it seemed like it was always something  that appealed to people”.  It’s quite true, isn’t it?

It was indeed a real product statement for Jamie, as people are struggling and exerting their very best efforts to earn money. Yet, Jamie didn’t limit his design to the dollar sign. Instead he took the dollar sign and came up with the initials of his name, J.S.. He turned the center line and made it into a “J”. He never thought of naming it, but when his pal, Thomas, saw the design, he wowed Jamie with the idea of naming it JMoney. From that time on, he and his pal, Thomas devoted their time, effort and finances for the JMoney Collection. At first, they had the “King of New York” design an idea that Joe Chan, an independent filmmaker, came up with.

Jamie started to expand his product line  but it wasn’t easy in the first few months. He wasn’t getting any orders, when he finally got the distribution he deserved. Then, it was the start of Jamie’s success.

Being artistically inclined, Jamie brings you a collection that upholds the  importance of money, of striving hard to earn a living. The designs are creative and all portrays boldness. Just by looking at it, you can readily imagine a New Yorker’s everyday lifestyle.

Jamie wears and lives his "money" theme t-shirt designs!

In 2007, the company launched the JMoney Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Still incorporating their “money” theme designs,  the collection presents a wide range of t-shirts, hoodies, zip hoodies, crewneck sweaters and M-65 jackets. The jackets came in black and green camouflage and are guaranteed to keep you warm because of a thick inner lining.

In their 2008 collection, they collaborated with King Stampede, Crooks & Castles, UXA, Teamworks, SSUR, Situationormal and a few others.

Jamie’s The JMoney Collection now has 30 stores. It’s sold in Japan, Sydney, Hawaii, Situationormal, Union LA, Brooklyn Projects, SF, Boston, DQM, Ssur, Rival, Union NY, Amsterdam, Vancouver, Goodfoot.  He now has a growing number of clients, which include his family and friends who have supported him through all those years. For a man like Jamie Story, he definitely has a story to tell. He tells his stories in every unique design he creates. One of  the things he can sincerely tell us is to, “do what we all love and we’ll surely succeed in it”. Indeed, his “money” theme shirts tells us that money can be earned if you just strive harder.

Jamie Story’s a man you can’t stop from doing anything and everything he loves.
