UNDRCRWN or simply Undercrown was developed in New York City in 2005 but later moved its operations in Los Angeles. They pride themselves with quality clothing sewn with the finest fabrics and designed by the most creative artists. The company also exhibit the sport’s history and prominent figures through its bouncy caricatures on their casual T-shirts, windbreakers and sweatshirts. By sporting their frocks, a person can live out the basketball lifestyle without the dribbling a basketball.
One of the chief artists responsible for the brand’s design is Dustin Canalin. He graduated from working with equally high-end labels such as Adidas, Ecko Unltd, and Zoo York. His job is to create blueprints for distinct footwear suited for street wear yet classy enough to bring on a romantic date. They started to recruit more team members by importing Peter Small from Asia, whose expertise include several years in the footwear business. The business coaches constantly concerned with finance and operations is composed of Jeremy Castro and Jeff Shieh. With such a perfect team, UNDRCRWN has been known as the ultimate luxury in the sport’s apparel.

Another thing about the brand is that they continuously develop and produce collections that are clever, creative, and serves as a testimony for time. When the Barak Obama was elected as the President of the United States, UNDRCRWN came up with their official inauguration shirt, combining Obama’s facial features with Abraham Lincoln, and George “The Iceman” Gervin, one of the best shooting guard in the history of NBA. The image was held up by the text, “All men can now be equal.” This just proves how UNDRCRWN has done more than cultivate the basketball culture within its court, it has created a brand that appeals to a great number of people.
The company has also been a part of many collaborations over the years. Recent collaborations include a Damani shoe and shirt for Damani an upcoming rap artist. The footwear also partnered up with Canalin and Adidas to produce a number of products.
Another recent collaboration the company has established is with music artist Asher Roth. The brand created a line of shirts to go with his debut single “I love College”. Canalin describes it as “a Varsity Sport influenced collection, consisting of a Letterman Jacket, Sweater, Sweatshirt and Tee”
With the company’s many collaborations and successes in the fashion industry, it seems that the brand is doing well. UNDRCRWN continues to stay to its roots by incorporating basketball lifestyle into their clothing and shoes.
