Philippe Naouri, the crowned King of Vintage, has succeeded once again to reinvent premium jeans. His latest denim gem is called Vintage1 and it is the hottest brand born in Los Angeles. Vintage1 brings to the premium denim market the authentic motorcycle lifestyle. The new label is blowing with the wind of change a new trend that is all about freedom and rock and roll. And everyone just loves it. Including many famous celebrities who are regularly spotted sporting the Vintage1 motorcycle style on the Red Carpet.
Philippe Naouri, founder and designer of Vintage1, is a man who has dedicated over 20 years to creating consummate vintage denim apparel. His obsessive attention to detail and quality is only equaled by his skills and talent, which eventually earned him the title of King of Vintage. Philippe was only 15 years old when he entered the denim industry. This happened in 1985, in his hometown, when Philippe was hired by the only outlet in Marseille that sold genuine American denim. Later on, that little French store became his first-owned vintage shop. And at only 17 he began a pilgrimage across the USA to discover rare vintage denim for his store.
Years past and Philippe grew to be a worldwide renowned expert in the fashion industry. Brands such as Diesel, Levis, Chevignon, G-star and Replay fought hard to get his inspirational vintage pieces for their lines. And also sought his advice on various aspects of production process like wash and style. In 1991, Philippe single-handedly organized the first antique auction dedicated solely to Levis historical denim. Philippe is always happy to play a role in events that cherish the history of denim. For example, he contributed to the Festival of Denim that took place in Nimes, France, where denim is supposed to have originated. And now, the designer cited in the book “Jeans of Heroes” as the French Connection Of Denim has plans to open his own jeans museum.

In 2004, Philippe Naouri decided to launch his own denim brand. And together with Alexandre Caugant and Paul Guez he founded the now famous Antik Denim. A few years later Antik1 was born conveying a fresh approach to denim and encapsulating Philippe’s idea of genuine freedom. The label promotes a classy, yet sexy style with a twist. Antik1 aims to turn the classic jean design into a gorgeous fashion statement. Using only the best premium fabrics, refined washes and perfect fits, this new label contains all the elements for a timeless style.
The most coveted item in the Antik1 collection is the skinny motorcycle jean, which goes beyond the celebrated motorcycle pant to create a new denim trend. This jean has become a celebrity favorite and was recently seen on Jessica Szhor, Rachel Zoe, Jessica Alba and Rihanna. Philippe’s goal for Vintage1 is to produce an ever-evolving line of edgy, everyday clothing for the fashionable woman and man. And until now he has succeeded in his endeavor.
