Interview with Orisue Clothing with SoJonesTV
SoJonesTV met up with Allen Doan, the President of Orisue Clothing, and he showed us around Orisue’s booth at the MAGIC fashion industry show in Las Vegas.
Orisue was born in late 2005 from the passionate mind of Michael Huynh, who was inspired by the youth’s many subcultures such as hip-hop, skate and art. Michael then partnered with long-time friend and entrepreneur, Allen Doan, to ensure the brand’s commitment to creativity.
Derived from the Japanese word “Origami”, Orisue has a philosophical meaning behind its simple name. Life is a blank slate or blank sheet of paper, but once you fold or do something creative with it, it becomes Orisue, the medium of art expression. Alan, the rep for Orisue, took SojonesTV through Orisue’s booth in the MAGIC Convention and shows off some of the brand’s upcoming collection for Fall 2009.
Orisue Clothing SoJonesTV interview highlights:
- Allen explaining the philosophy behind Orisue
- Orisue Fall 2009 Collection to watch for
- Meticulous details and embellishments added to the collection
- Orisue crew’s lucky number. Yep, these guys have a lucky number and we think it’s weirdly cool.
Here are some Orisue stuff we like, and they’re available at Karmaloop. First up: the newly arrived “The Lestrade Jacket” ($110).
Next up is also the POPPIN metallic favorite: “The Elliot Jacket” ($100)
