Teruo Artistry Interview with SoJonesTV
Teruo Artistry is one of the labels showing off their goods at the MAGIC Trade show in Las Vegas, last month. It’s a lifestyle clothing brand based in California, founded in 1999 by Brian Watters, Timothy Watters and Koji Sakai. The Japanese touch to their name is actually the Watters’ grandfather’s name, Teruo Iyama. In its 10 years of existence,
Teruo clothing has graced the silver screen in feature films like “Thirteen and The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift” and many more. Music lovers everywhere are also familiar with the clothing line as it was featured in Montana’s 2007 hit music video, “Rock On (Do the Rockman)” which is also featured in MTV Jam of the Week. Teruo Artistry also have been tapped to design for Grammy Award winners Ozomatli band, rock group OneRepublic and for the famous radio station, Los Angeles’ own, KIIS-FM.
SoJonesTV met up with the guys at Teruo Artistry at MAGIC, and they took us around the world with their cool creations. Check out the highlights of the interview with Teruo Artistry:
- Unique artwork
- On-the-spot T-Shirt drawing
- Cultural fabric embellishments from around the world which represents the diversity of the clothing line. We especially love the kimono fabric and Balinese fabric attached on those tee. Very creative, and may we say: exclusive!
