Chloe Bailey has come a long way since her twinning days with her sister Halle.

The 24-year-old Grammy-nominated singer is on the cover of Essence Magazine’s September/October 2022 Global Black Fashion issue alongside Halle. And naturally, she’s serving up some eye-popping looks for the story, showing just how bolder and more confident her style has become.

“Back then, our look was very Atlanta, very Southern country, and very Siamese twins,” Chloe says in her interview. “I look back at photos and videos and cringe. It’s so fun to see the evolution and how we were once just like, ‘Okay, as long as it’s color coordinated and we have matching things, then we’re good.’”

In Gucci And Alexander McQueen

One closeup photo shows the “Have Mercy” artist wearing a black mesh number from Gucci, topped off with an Alexander McQueen leather jacket, oversized dangling earrings, and a choker.

Her beauty look is equally dramatic, consisting of a super-smoky eye and extra-long and thick falsies.

Sporty Meets Sexy In Gucci X Adidas

Even when she’s going the sporty route, Chloe oozes major sex appeal. Here, she’s wearing a red maxi dress from Gucci’s collaboration with Adidas, featuring a V neckline, hip-high slit, and the sportswear brand’s signature three stripes.

Her footwear, a pair of sparkling thigh-high boots, adds a glam touch and a chunky cross pendant from Martine Ali. Completing her fabulous look is a teased bob.

Rasta Vibes In Theophilio

In another pic, Chloe is wearing a matchy-matchy set from Brooklyn-based brand Theophilio, consisting of a cutout crop-top and a coordinating mini skirt in Rastafarian colors. Her shoes, meanwhile, are the Divine platforms from GCDS, which are $935 on the brand’s website. Rounding out her ensemble is a Chanel waist bag.

Going Graphic In Bed On Water

Chloe and Halle may have left their twinning days behind but for their Essence shoot, they did grant us a matching moment in graphic looks from New York City-based apparel brand Bed on Water.

Chloe is wearing a halter crop-top, a coordinating mini skirt, and tights, along with chunky Versace platform sandals. Sporting a similar print, Halle opts for a long-sleeve shirt, hot pants, and knee-high socks. (And can we just take a moment to admire those glorious braids?)
