The 2022 Governors Awards red carpet was all about skin-baring looks, with many attendees flashing major cleavage and abs in dresses with down-to-there necklines and revealing cutouts. But some dared to show more, opting for outfits that were almost entirely see-through from top to bottom.

Florence Pugh, for one, chose a white-hot gown that flaunted an eye-popping amount of skin. With this look, she continued her sheer streak that began with the viral Barbiecore gown she wore to the Valentino Haute Couture show in July. Other stars that went the sultry route for the evening include Angela Bassett, Janelle Monae, and more. Keep scrolling to see how they set the night on fire with their daring ensembles.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh oozed confidence and body positivity, as always, in a white Victoria Beckham gown that featured dot-embellished sheer panels along the midsection and skirt. The dress was also adorned with gold fringe down the side, which the Don’t Worry Darling star matched with a Tiffany & Co. tassel necklace.

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett kept all eyes on her when she arrived for the event rocking this white Giambattista Valli Couture gown, which boasted a sheer, crystal-embellished bodice and a feathered skirt. The Black Panther star is looking incredibly fit at 64 and can easily stand out anywhere with her bold fashion choices!

Her look was finished off with Cicada and De Beers jewels and gorgeous natural hair done up in a half updo.

Janelle Monae And Gabrielle Union

Giambattista Valli Couture was Janelle Monae’s choice as well. Her see-through black gown had a lot going on with its bowed shoulders, lattice-patterned bodice, and bedazzled waistband. Watch the get-ready video above showing her glam process and a close look at her intricate cornrows.

Gabrielle Union, meanwhile, kept it classic in a black lace gown by Prada, but injected major sex appeal when she wore it without a lining. The 50-year-old actress paired it with a triangular clutch and a cute bob.

Sadie Sink And Emma Corrin

Sadie Sink managed to look sweet and sultry at once in a full Alexander McQueen ensemble consisting of an embroidered cream tulle gown, which featured spaghetti straps and a low neckline, and coordinating pumps.

And Emma Corrin went the androgynous route, with a heavy dose of sexiness added, in a Miu Miu look that included a crystal-embellished sheer top, a black vest, coordinating trousers, and loafers. She topped off her ensemble with a short ‘do and bold makeup.
