Anna Kendrick Promotes 'Alice, Darling' In Two Head-Turning Looks

Before heading to a Q&A session, Kendrick took a mirror selfie in her hotel room wearing a retro-chic ensemble consisting of a white Giambattista Valli mini dress layered over a black turtleneck. She styled it with a vertiginous pair of Gucci Angel platform pumps that she called “stripper heels” in the caption – “I mean, is it wrong to love yourself while wearing stripper heels?? Is it a crime???” she wrote. That ignited a heated debate among commenters who said they weren’t actually stripper heels (and that stripper heels had nothing to do with loving yourself anyway).

In another post captioned, “gonna leave my body real quick,” the Pitch Perfect star flaunted her gorgeous hairstyle and makeup, created by Craig Gangi and Vanessa Scali, respectively.

She sported a half updo that flowed down over her shoulder in waves, finished off with cute face-framing tendrils. As for her makeup, she kept it subtle and natural with a soft pink lip and neutral eyeshadow.

Kendrick also attended a special screening and reception, and this time she went the modern route in a black dress with a mixed-print skirt. The look featured a fitted bodice with long sleeves and a bow-detailed high neck, teamed with an eclectic skirt combining floral and geometric prints, with a deconstructed vibe coming from the uneven hem. There was a lot going on in that dress so she smartly finished it off with simple black pumps. “After 3 months behind the camera in cargo pants, she finally shaved her legs. A whole new woman even,” she wrote in the caption.

Hairstylist Gangi shared his own carousel showing off the actress’s glamorous ‘do. She opted for a classic bun with a middle part and face-framing tendrils, teamed with a bold beauty look that consisted of a striking red lip and metallic gold eyeshadow.

Alice, Darling will have a limited released on December 30, followed by a wide release on January 20 next year.
