Other than bravery, pride and honor, every king has one thing in common: they all want to stand out from the little people. A royal passion for looking good was the inspiration for a clothing brand solely dedicated to creativity, lavishness and extravagance. Founders’ Andy and Polo founded a kingdom of their own in 2006 and they called it IMKING.

As kids, the founders used to mess around with their clothing by mixing up cross colors and Air Jordans. After dabbling in basketball and dancing, they both worked hard in the mortgage industry for a few years. They saved some money, got a loan and turned themselves from typical employees into clothing company founders/proprietors. Together with other determined team members, they have continually made IMKING a must have brand for discerning individuals. As Andy states, “IMKING is for the rare person who prides themselves on being an individual. Those who can choose for themselves and not let your everyday blogger tell them what uniform to put on everyday. Self expression is a freedom that’s being neglected and exploited and needs to be embraced”.

Other than creating designs that portrays the IMKING lifestyle and attitude, the IMKING team keeps on grinding. The founders have admitted that they never had any training in fashion. They just do their own thing and have fun with each other. ore than anything else, the team is a family. Their relationship with each other keeps them together.

The brand’s popularity started out when they were featured in Grind Time Now, which is the world’s biggest rap battle league.
