MadeMe is a clothing collection which aims to beautify and add meaning to the world of fashion - and everything around us. The line, launched in 2007 by Erin Magee (who designed for Supreme and Umbro), is based in the fashion mecca otherwise known as New York.
MadeMe’s first collection was launched in the Fall of 2007, and the reception was so warm that the collection was sold out around the globe almost immediately. After all, MadeMe’s aesthetics has made tremendous appeal to fashionistas who love street style but hate having to wear oversized men’s hoodies.
In her interview with New York Post, Erin expressed, “Now it’s time for us to be able to buy our own stuff and feel cute and sexy in clothes that fit us but are still inspired by men’s street fashion.”
The designs are as unique as the brain behind MadeMe. Designer-slash-owner Erin draws meaning and inspiration from a variety of things, including Mexican Folk Art, religious and historic images, literature and music.
The fusion of these inspirations has given birth to a revolutionary line of graphic t-shirts and outerwear for both sexes - which bear outstanding fashion, comfort and quality. After all, Erin loves Androgyny. “I design boys clothes for girls…I love masculinity in women. I think it’s really empowering and strong,” she said in her interview with Vapors magazine.

So what sets it apart from other collections? MadeMe branches out from the wardrobe stable that is the t-shirt. Erin adds, “I wanted to do a full-on line, including denim and outerwear, hoodies and leggings, tees, everything. A full collection that’s totally inspired by men’s streetwear.”
The MadeMe collections have been featured in a number of fashion magazines and websites, including New York Post, Vapors, Life & Style, Bust, Daily Candy, Giant, Rides, Metro Pop, Miss Behave, URB, Two.One.five, Streetwear Today, Trace, High Snobiety, and Slam X Hype, to name a few. Superstar fans include Alicia Keys, who wore a MadeMe piece in her video “Like You’ll Never See Me Again.”
MadeMe clothing are available in select retailers across the nation and in Belgium, New Zealand, UK, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Canada, France, The Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Online retailers include Karmaloop and Fresh Cotton.
